In a few weeks during August on Peace Square there will be one more tourist attraction – the 300-year old Bell Tower.
The Bell Tower will be prepared for visitors and equipped with facilities for the physically challenged. On top of that, a wooden pedestrian walk leading up to the tower will also serve as a driveway.
The building has already had its outer and inner walls repaired, the floors have also been supplemented with pebbles, while further actions have been taken to prevent damage to the tower from corrosion.
The half-timbered Bell Tower is the second building, after the rectory, to be renovated thanks to Norwegian funds.
