A comic book and a song about the Church of Peace have been prepared by high school students from the High School number II in Świdnica (humanities class). This is one of the school that took part in the “Direction to monuments: UNESCO sites to be talked about, shown and protected” project.
The students created presentations focused on one of the selected monuments from the Lower Silesia prestigious monuments list, which were later rated by a jury and Internet users.
“We fiercely fought for every online vote, in total we gathered 750”, says Zuzia Wenerska (a high school pupil).
Zuzia’s class, at the end of the contest on the 3rd of June, took part in an unique Polish language class at the Center for the Promotion and UNESCO Partnership at the Church of Peace.
“Lessons should take place in such a beautiful surrondings more often”, Zuzia stresses. The high school student also added: “All of our class, led by our Polish teacher, Mrs Mariola Mackiewicz, formed closer bonds during this project.”
