The last works on the ceilings of the four rooms in the parsonage are underway. At the end of March, the renovation of these parts will be completed according to Ryszard Wojtowicz, a conservator.

In the annex building on the first floor an impressive beam-board ceiling has been unveiled, one that was originally found in a very bad condition.

During the renovation process conservators removed the under-paintings from the remnants of the polychrome paintings and reproduced plant-shaped ornaments. This is a complicated task, as Ryszard Wójtowicz explains:

“We have 136 fields to be filled with gold-ocher, grey-blue and rose–red colours. Certainly it will be the richest we have in terms of the colours used in its reconstruction.

This is going to be the most beautiful room in the parsonage, with stylized baroque bookcases that can accommodate future collections of the Lower Silesian Evangelical Institute – says the conservator.
