A story about gingerbread – the gift Świdnica’s inhabitants gave to the King of Sweden to show gratefulness for his help creating the Church of Peace, was the main reason for organising last month’s gingerbread workshop.
On the 18th of July on Peace Square, dozens of children and their parents listened to stories based on the “The Gingerbread for the King” book written by Mariusz Urbanek, a well-known writer and journalist.
The workshop was part of the project titled: “I Discover Świdnica with my mother and father”.
During the family walk, children also learnt about the history behind the construction of the Evangelical church.
