On the 3rd of June 2014 in Levanger, the pastor of the Evangelical-Augsburg Parish in Swidnica, Rev.Waldemar Pytel, met the representatives of Lavenger municipalities including Mayor Robert Svarva.

The Lavenger commune is one of two Norwegian partners participating in the restoration project of the Church of Peace in Swidnica. The cooperation will last for two years, and will focus on the exchange of management experience in reference to the wooden buildings. The town of Levanger is famous for its historic wooden centre. Soon Norwegians will come to Poland to take part in lectures and seminars on preservation work and the promotion of wooden heritage.
