Karsten Klepsvik, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway, visited the Church of Peace on the 9th of May. The church has received a grant from the Norwegian Financial Mechanism. “This unique church is a treasure for all mankind” said the Ambassador during his visit.
Aside from funding, the parish also has gained two project partners from Norway. Specialists from the municipality of Levanger, known for their skills with antique wooden architecture, will share their knowledge in the field of wood protection. Also, professionals from the Vest District will help in the maintenance of the old books and manuscripts. The Kingdom of Norway has supported Poland in the last ten years to the tune of a billion euros for projects concerning the restoration of monuments and other programmes.
